Born in 1967, Xavier, of Counsel of AAMIL CHAMBERS, studied the law at the University of Louvain (Belgium), with five
years of studies concluded by a diploma “cum laude”. Starting as lawyer in 1989 at 22
years old, Xavier has combined his three-years trainee in an international boutique law
office, a one-year military service in the Belgian Army at the Military Police
Department and with a two-years employment for assisting the Senator Etienne
Cerexhe (Judge at the Constitutional Court).
In 1992, Xavier started his own practice, with a focus on the SME’s.
The experience as international business facilitator and as international tax planner
has started from this development, with clients coming from America, North-
America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
In 2006, the office received its final name as “KYC_Lawyers”.
A reference to the KYC rules, and a reference to the essence of Xavier’s action “You
need to Know Your Client for giving them the right advice”.
Xavier has helped clients to start and/or develop good business in 27 African
countries (with potentialities in 36 countries), in 5 Asian countries, in the US, in
Canada, in 3 countries of the Middle-East and in 14 European countries.
Resident in Tunisia during a year, in Mauritius during two years, and partially in
Kinshasa during a few years, Xavier is delighted to continue offering his services in Mauritius.
